Communications consent
How we may contact you by push notification, SMS, email, or phone — and how to opt out.
Last updated: October 2026
1. App first
Check-ins are designed to happen in the app. Push notifications are the default prompt. SMS and phone calls are backups for members who opt in, typically on Accountability plans.
2. Channels
- Push: Device notifications when you allow them in the browser or OS.
- SMS / text: Reminder or check-in follow-ups only if you opt in and provide a verified number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out; HELP for help (where supported).
- Phone: Voice outreach only if you opt in on an eligible plan. Consent for automated or AI voice may be required before we enable this.
- Email: Transactional mail (receipts, security, billing) and, separately, marketing only if you subscribe.
3. Quiet hours
When you set quiet hours in Settings, we aim not to send SMS or place calls during those local times. Push may still be available depending on your device settings.
4. Managing preferences
Change channel opt-ins under Settings → How we'll reach you. You can also pause outreach under Settings → Pause. Pausing does not delete your account or program history.
5. International note
SMS and calling rules differ by country (for example US 10DLC registration, TCPA consent, and EU ePrivacy rules). We will only enable channels we can support lawfully in your region. This notice is not legal advice.
